Due to critically low well-water levels, Lillian B. Benham Library in Lockeport is closed until further notice. The branch will stay open for the remainder of today (Thursday, Oct. 16) for people to pick up their holds. Starting Friday, Oct. 17, all holds regularly placed at Lockeport library will be available for pick-up at McKay Memorial Library in Shelburne. Because the region is under water conservation restrictions, the well cannot be filled from outside sources at this time. People can still return items to the Lockeport library while it is closed.
