Below you can learn about all areas of the library you can support. To support any of the causes, just click on the image associated with the cause. The Donate button directly below takes you to our general page where you can select where your donation goes (you have 4 choices) in the drop down menu under “Apply your donation to a fund set up by this charity”.
Collection
$10 to 100 (suggested donation)
Our diverse collection includes books, DVDs, CDs, electronic resources, talking books, eBooks, audiobooks, large print books, digital and print magazines, and newspapers.
Literacy Legacy Fund
$10-50,000 and over (suggested donation)
The fund generates revenue via interest from donated money to purchase new books and library material for the library every year in perpetuity.

Western Counties Regional Library Literacy Legacy Fund is being managed by a certified fund manager hired by the library board.
Every book purchased with the money will have a name plate noting the fund placed inside the front cover or on the digital listing in our catalogue (if possible).
Large donors, $5,000 or more, can decide what type of book/library material that their contribution would be used to purchase with a specialized nameplate.
Monthly giving can be set up to allow people to donate over an extended period of time.
The initial goal was $100,000 (surpassed in 2020) with the hope of building it up to $1 million.

Equipment & Technology

New gadgets, such as iPads, and new technology, such as 3D printers, give our users the chance to familiarize themselves with the latest format for information delivery.
Special Features

Today’s library is not only about books. It is an extended community – a place to connect and socialize. Many users spend their time building with LEGO®, watching movies, and playing with puppets. We also offer a wide range of programs from birth to older adults. We welcome program sponsors and program donations.
Special Campaigns
$10 to 100 (suggested donation)
Special campaigns include the library’s biennial Adopt-A-Book campaign. Running every two years, people can “adopt” books from Oct. 1 through Nov. 30, 2024 to put on library shelves. Find out more about the campaign here.
Donate Securities
Did you know you can donate securities to Western Counties Regional Library Charitable Association?
CanadaHelps.org makes it easy to donate securities and mutual funds.

To make your donation, simply:
- Click on the Donate Securities image above
- Answer a few basic questions using our online securities donation form. You will be asked about the securities you’d like to donate and how to contact your financial advisor and investment firm.
- Complete the provided Letter of Direction form. Send one copy to your financial advisor or investment firm and the other to us. This authorizes your advisor to work with us directly on the transfer of shares.
Charitable receipts will be issued for gifts of $10 or more.
