Yarmouth Library Book Club: The Wager
Book club members will discuss The Wager by David Grann. A mesmerizing story of shipwreck, survival, and savagery, culminating in a court martial that reveals a shocking truth. On Jan. 28, 1742, a ramshackle vessel of patched-together wood and cloth washed up on the coast of Brazil. Inside were 30 emaciated men, barely alive, and they had an extraordinary tale to tell. Interested participants are asked to contact the library to be added to the book club email list. This program is for adults.
