Exhibit: Ponderings

painting of a orange and black rooster

This exhibit features the paintings of artist Gladys Lewis-Jennings. Her work covers various subjects and scenes using oils. She was introduced to painting in 2023 at age 80 when she enrolled in a workshop at the Weymouth Library with artist Floyd Gale. She took seven lessons that year, completing 11 pieces of art. She has gone on to take more classes and complete many more works. She loves to paint older structures, inspired to capture the broken window panes, sagging roofs, missing shingles and weathered paint as she ponders the past while painting. The exhibit can be viewed during open hours in April.
