Exhibit: Coloured Pencil Drawings

pencil and paint art of a piece of rope and two clam shells on the sand

This exhibit features the coloured pencil drawings of artist Mona McDonald. An avid outdoors person, artist and writer Mona McDonald was born in Vancouver. While her work took her many places, her final posting was at CFB Cornwallis. When the base closed in 1994, she decided to retire and make Weymouth her home. She keeps busy drawing, writing short stories, and doing many other crafts. “My main passions are drawing and writing, but when the seasons change and the gardens call, that’s where I will be, with paper, pencils and seed packets.” The exhibit can be viewed during open hours from March 1 to 29.
