Western Counties Regional Library has community rooms that are available for public use at several of its 10 branches. Community rooms are available for both non-profit and for-profit organizations. When determining room availability, library and library co-sponsored events take precedence.
The rental to a group of a library community room does not mean that the Regional Library, (or Regional Library Board or both) endorses the renter’s activities or beliefs.
Bookings
Community room bookings are made by branch library staff. The branches are also responsible for supplying information regarding room availability, available equipment, wheelchair accessibility, kitchen facilities, seating capacity, etc.
Rental fees
Fees and rental conditions for Community rooms vary from branch to branch; details are available from each branch library. Room rental fees may be waved for non-profit organizations. Groups whose events are co-sponsored by the Library are not subject to rental fees.
Terms of use
- Community rooms are usually available only during library open hours.
- The Library Board may deny room rental requests and may cancel bookings at its discretion.
- Organizations are liable for any relevant damage to library property or equipment.
- Room set-up is the responsibility of the renting organization, as is returning the room to its original state.
