- Get any and all permissions and release forms
- Ask parents for permission for photos or videos of children or young adults under 19
The Library can ask users to stop taking photos or videos. They will do this if these or other library rules are broken. People may be asked to leave if they do not follow the rules.
Staff Use
Library staff can take photos and videos in the library. They can do this at library events and programs.
Staff use photos and videos for different things:
- Ads for the library
- Social media
- Library records
- Library reports
Photos and videos can be used in print, online, or on television.
Staff can take photos or videos of people in the library. People agree to this when they enter the library. The library has put up signs to tell people this.
People can ask staff not to be in photos or videos. They need to tell staff this when they enter the library. People can ask staff not to take photos or videos of their children. People can ask staff to delete pictures or videos of their children.
The Library will ask permission to use a person’s name in photos or videos.
Media
The media can take photos and videos in the library. They should talk to the library director first.
