Mindfulness and Wellness: Seasons of Change Series

This series explores how we can support our physical, emotional, and mental well-being through life and the changing seasons. Each session is led by local organizations and practitioners. They offer practical strategies, evidence-informed information, and opportunities to connect with community resources. Registration is preferred but you can attend without signing up, space permitting.

Ayurvedic Principles for Fall Self-care
October 7: 6 to 7:45 pm
Explore the wisdom of Ayurveda and learn simple self-care practices. Heather will teach practical techniques to improve inner balance, grounding, and well-being. Use them to support your transition from the warmth and activity of summer into the cool and dry season of fall.
Healing Through Sound, A Channeled Journey
October 14: 6 to 7:45 pm
Join Karen for a healing sound bath using crystal singing bowls, drums, and voice. Karen emphasises peacefulness through her voice to bring deep relaxation and stress relief. For comfortability feel free to bring a yoga mat, a blanket, or wear loose fitting clothes. Regular chairs will be provided.
Perimenopause and Beyond
October 17: 10 to 12 pm
Nurse practitioner Maria Ceschiutti, visits the library for a presentation on menopause. Topics she will discuss are:
- Understanding perimenopause and menopause
- Symptoms of perimenopause and menopause
- Ways to manage symptoms, including nutrition and exercise
- Treatments for symptoms management
Followed by a question and answer period to answer your “burning” questions.
