Library offers an opportunity to learn more about Mi’kmaw language

A one-hour workshop at library branches in Digby, Shelburne and Yarmouth will explore the origins of the Mi’kmaw language and how it relates to the broader Algonquin language family.

Community Play Group

Families with children five and younger can join library and Shelburne Family Resource Centre staff for a variety of free play, songs, games and story time at the library. Look for the signs highlighting the library’s new Photography and Video in the Library policy. Note: Free rides may be available through Sou’West Nova Transit for family and children’s programming in Shelburne County. Call 844-637-2572 in advance to request a trip. Adults must travel with children under 16.
