Stop by the Digby Library to see the first public collection of self-taught artist Jacqueline Comeau. Available to view during branch open hours. About the Artist Jacqueline Comeau's work serves as a visceral exploration of freedom. Both from the movement, mind and transitioning between vibrant and deep energies. Creativity is not just a hobby for her but a vital tool for self expression and liberation. The process is intuitive. Vivid Impressions is her first public collection.

Author Reading: Sarah Emsleyadulteados

Join author Sarah Emsley for a discussion of her novel The Austens. The book focuses on the friendship between Jane Austen and her sister-in-law Fanny. Fanny lived in Halifax with her husband at the time when Jane was in England, writing Pride and Prejudice. In this program, Sarah will read from The Austens and discuss the true story that inspired it. Questions from the audience are welcome. Please register by contacting the library by April 7. Registration is preferred but not required. About Sarah Emsley: Sarah received her PhD from Dalhousie University. She had a research position at the Rothermere American Institute and at the University of Oxford. She has also taught classes on Jane Austen in the Writing Program at Harvard University. She now lives in Halifax with her family.
