Introduction
Volunteers are important to the Library. They work with library staff. They work on special programs. They help the Library do more for the community. Volunteers also get important work experience.
Library branch managers decide what volunteer positions to have. The Library will decide if a person can volunteer or not.
Role of volunteers
All volunteers must do the following.
- Complete a Volunteer Application Form.
- Follow library rules.
- Do a Criminal Records check to work with the public.
- Do a Child Abuse Registry check to work with the public.
Role of Library Staff
Library staff will do the following.
- Train volunteers
- Supervise volunteers at work
- Tell volunteers how they are doing
