Exhibit: Avian Omens

image of an aloe plant in a clear pot between two pieces of art featuring feathers.

This exhibit features the multimedia art of Theresa Rollet. For thousands of years, feathers have been seen as symbols and omens. The artist began collecting feathers during a difficult time in her life. She sees them as symbols of protection, harbingers of change and signs that she was not alone in the world. Intuitive art has allowed Rollet to be present in the moment and decompress from the effects of trauma. By anchoring feathers to a painting, she can enjoy their beauty on a daily basis. The artist is grateful to the Rally Point Retreat in Sable River for supporting her work. The retreat supports veterans, first responders and journalists with PTSD and their family members.
