School aged children (5 to 12) will learn how to prepare their own nutritious snack. They will be taught basic food preparation skills. These include washing, chopping, and peeling using child safe tools. All food and supplies are provided. Each week will be a different recipe. Register by March 1.
This program is funded through the Food Security Initiative Grant.

Children aged five and under and their caregivers are invited to join library staff for an hour of stories and play. Activities will alternate between crafts and free play.
Families with children five and younger can join library and Shelburne Family Resource Centre staff for a variety of free play, songs, games and story time at the library.
Children aged 8 to 14 can join library clerk 'Feral' Carol for arts and crafts. Register one day before each program by 5 p.m. by contacting the library as space is limited.
Drop in and design and build using the library's LEGO collection. This program is for children aged 4 to 12 (those under 9 years of age must be accompanied by an adult).
