StoryWalks are shifting to new locations in parks and along trails in the Tri-Counties in late July and early August as part of the library’s Summer Reading Club experience.
Two books, I Am Scary by Elise Gravel and Sometimes I Feel Like a Fox by Danielle Daniel, have been up to stroll through over the past month, but they will be switched up at the end of July.
“Because the library received more StoryWalks this year, we can switch up the stories and the venues over the summer months,” says Shannon Raynard, Training and Development Manager at the library and organizer of the program.
The Sometimes I Feel Like a Fox StoryWalk will be around the green space surrounding McKay Memorial Library in Shelburne from July 23 to Sept. 2; in the courtyard at Izaak Walton Killam Memorial Library in Yarmouth from July 27 to Sept. 2; along The Big Meadow Bog Trail in Westport from July 29 to Sept. 2; along Pubnico Trail from July 29 to Aug. 4 and at La Roche à St. Pierre from Aug. 5 to 12.
The I Am Scary StoryWalk will be along the sidewalk in front of Isaiah W. Wilson Memorial Library in Digby from July 27 to Sept. 2, around the duck pond fence in front of Barrington Municipal Library in Barrington Passage from July 23 to Sept. 2, at La Roche à St. Pierre from July 29 to Aug. 4, along Pubnico Trail from Aug. 5 to 12, and at Seacap Memorial Park in Lockeport from Aug. 16 to Sept. 2.
