Mid-Week Break: Not Just Evangeline

In a combination in-person and Zoom presentation, Susan Surette-Draper will share her research on the role of Acadian women throughout history with a particular emphasis on the pre-deportation and early post-deportation years. The role of men has been studied in great detail, but have you ever asked yourselves about the women who accompanied them from the early days of the colony, throughout the deportation years and subsequent re-establishment of their communities? In her talk at the library, she will shine a light on her discoveries. To receive the zoom link, contact the library no later than 5 p.m. on March 21.
