Mid-Week Break: Electric City

Photo of people working the Electric City

Via Zoom and in-person, Hal Theriault and Stacey Doucette will present The Electric City story and explain its significance for Southwest Nova Scotia. They will also outline the Electric City/La Nouvelle France Society’s plans for the future. The Electric City truly encapsulates the early multicultural nature of Canadian society. It is a story of successful immigration, family love and devotion, and equitable treatment of all peoples. It includes the tragedy of war, social and business innovation, and a celebration of diverse people working and playing together toward a successful future. Contact the library by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25 to receive the Zoom link.
